Well, thankfully, no! But we sure did have fun square dancing with the second graders. With all of the specialists at the Mass of the Holy Spirit in St. Paul with the 4-8 students, Mrs. Jeffrey thought it would be fun to break up our day with a special activity. She led both classes (with my assistance) in learning 2 different square dances. She talked to the children about why square dancing is so fun for many people-lively music and multiple age groups can join in the fun! We also talked about how it related to our C-STEM: planning, knowing left and right, following directions and following the Golden Rule (treating others how we want to be treated). It was a great time!
We spent quite a bit of time learning about St. Francis. We read a biography about him and watched a video.
We've been playing the game "Monster Number Line Squeeze" for quite awhile now, slowly increasing the span of numbers. The children are doing a fantastic job of starting to make logical guesses about the secret number.
