After such a busy (and at times, crazy) week last week, it was nice to have a fairly calm day. We did go see our adorable pre-K friends in their Christmas program. This is the only preschool one we will attend this week, so if you wish for your child to attend a program on Tuesday or Wednesday, please feel free to stop by the room and pick him or her up. We will go see the kindergarten Nativity on Wednesday.
Last week we started a new chapter book series called "Magic Bone". We are reading book 1-Be Careful What you Sniff For. The magic bone has taken the main character, Sparky (a dog), off London.
Last week we started a mini book about plural nouns. Today we finished with the children trying to complete the last 2 pages independently (to show if they were understanding the rules and how to look back at the rule and apply it).
I couldn't get ahold of a copy of the book Click, Clack, HO, HO, HO, so we watched a youtube video (through the safe share website) of somone reading the book. We then did a series of comprehension and vocabulary sheets. Most were done together. The children were asked to complete the sequence of events part of one page independently.
In math we made a line plot graph about the number of siblings the children in our class have. We discovered the most common number of siblings is 2.
