The following 4 prayers will be initially assessed by the end of the first
semester:
Sign of the Cross, Grace Before Meals, Guardian Angel, Glory Be.
The following 2 prayers will be assessed by the end of the second
semester:
Our Father, Hail Mary and the ability to pray spontaneously.
Throughout the year, we will work on learning or reviewing the "St. Wenceslaus
School Prayer". While this is an important prayer to our school and the
children should learn the words, it is not a prayer that will be assessed.
"St. Wenceslaus School Prayer"
Loving God,
You have called us here to St. Wenceslaus School,
where we are all invited to come to know you and receive a Catholic,
Christian education.
Thank you for blessing all of us
with gifts and talents.
Help us to recognize and use them
to make a positive difference in our world.
We are truly sorry for when we make bad choices
and use our blessings in the wrong way.
Show us how to grow in faith and live like you.
Almighty God, watch over us always.
Help us to follow you,
even when our years
at St. Wenceslaus School are through.

Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Grace Before Meals:
Bless us, O Lord,
and these thy gifts,
which we are about to receive,
from thy bounty,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Guardian Angel:
Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
Glory Be:
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Our Father:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed by thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary:
Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you;
Blessed are you among women,
And blessed is the fruit of your whom, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
